converting scientific notation 1.30508E+11 to a text

Hi ,

I am having issue in converting the (1.30508E+11) into a number.

i tried using the  number format in the list box still this is not changing.

could someone look into this?

Try like this

=Num(1.30508E+11, '#,##0')

Hi,

num(1.30508E,'###') is working,

u can use it in the edit script itself.

If it is not changing, I would suspect that the number isn't interpreted correctly. Is it right-aligned or left-aligned when you put it in a list-box?

If it is left-aligned, then it is not interpreted and you will need to use an interpretation function:

     Num#('1.30508E+11','#', '.', ',')

Hi Shree

Try this:

Num(1.30508E+11,'###########,###')

or 

Num(Your Number Field,'###########,###')

You will get the Number as a Result

Please try this:

Num(Your_Field,'##.##')  (Upto 2 decimal place, you can modify this as per your requirement)

Thanks for the reply.

i tried but its not working, actually '1.30508E+11' to  represented as a number( transaction number) ' i dont need any comma, or decimal separators..

please find the attachment, its a transaction number

example : 1.30604E+11 should be interpreted as  130604002402

Thanks for the quick response ,the thing is its appending all the zeros that shouldn't happen it has to be a number..or text.

example : 1.30604E+11 should be interpreted as  130604002402
