How to select data of top 3 cities on basis of some criteria using stright table ?

If you are using QV version >= 11, try dimension limits.

Use a calculated dimension aggr(rank(sum(Cities)),Cities)<=3,Cities)

If you have QlikView >= 11, you can use dimension limits.

E.g.

- Add Country and Sum(Sales)

- Configure a descending sort order for Sum(Sales)

- Enable "Restrict which values are displayed using the first expression" flag in the Dimension limits tab and configure "Show only 3 values"

- Disable the "Show others" flag if you don't want to see accumulation as "Other"
