decent looking on/off switch available?
Hi !
I am interested in a switch (ON/OFF) for a user preference. This would set a variable that would activate an alert. First attempt was an input box but this really doesn't look good at all:
Next I tried 2 buttons in a container that set a variable:
Better, but still not very stylish.
Is there a package out there or some tools to improve the design? Or can this design be improved with a vanilla Qlikview?

You could have 2 text boxes, each with a Background Image which could be any image file that you like and set their trigger actions

The most "modern" approach would be to use two sliding button images, with either red/green or gray/green backgrounds. Governance Dashboard 2.0 uses that kind of configuration switches.
Clicking them once will toggle them to the other state.

Peter,
Thanks, this is what I had in mind. Looks a bit like an overkill for this task. But certainly a great tool. Is Governance Dashboard 2.0 is available and free to anyone who has licensed Qlikview?

Bill,
thanks for your reply that pointed to a versatility of the text box I wasn't aware off. Using images and triggers could solve it. It would require images that work nicely together, which I do not have right now.

Dear Ishfaque,
thanks for your reply and your app. I could only look at the jpg (which look nice) as we both are using the PE right now. Hopefully next week I will get a full version again and than I can give you a thorough feedback.

Dear Andreas,
As you have Personal Edition QlikView, therefore I'm sharing you images which are captured from already shared App.
Kind regards,
Ishfaque Ahmed
