How Do I find deviation of measure for 2 versions of data, if user selects 2 versions?

if version 1, 2 selected, expression= sum for version1- sum of version2

so, Problem here is  How can I specify for random versions of user selections?

You can probably do this using alternate states and set analysis in QV.

Have a look at the 'What's New in QV11' demo app, there is a tab that demonstrates this approach.
