edit/add text to LED Listboxes

I'm making ListBoxes with LED as the selection style. 

How do I edit or add text next to checkboxes?

For example, I have listboxes for gender and language. 

In the Gender Listbox, I have 3 columns each with a checkbox.

The first checkbox has no text, the second checkbox has the letter 'F' and the third checkbox has the letter 'M'.

How do I change the 'F' to Female, 'M' to Male, and the blank to Unknown?
