email notification after reload failure

Hi all,

I have qv server and ublisher installed. Server is running on test license prior it was running on a normal license. I want to create an email notification by letting a reload fail. However I do not receive an email.

Before it was working fine.

I can send an test mail. That works fine.

Does the combination of testlicense for the server and normal license for publisher make this functionality fail?

Help is appreciated.

Hi all,

thank you for sharing your thoughts but I found it myself.

I forgot to check the "Alert E-mail" check boxes on Distribution Services - General Tab.

Hi Patrick,

maybe. There definitely seem to be some things that don't quite work with a test license.

Could you tell me how you set up that email feature? I'd like to do the same here. Do you need an email_account for the "user" behind QlikView or is there any way around that?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

This should work and server being a test license doesn't have anything to do with it. Have you setup the emails correctly under the distribution service?

Check if email_ids are fine in QMC:

QMC- System tab - Setup - Management service - Qlikview server - alerts tab:

check the email_id is displayed or add email id by clicking + sign on top right corner

I have created a servuces account for that. You need to fill in the password for that. And you need an email address where the mail needs to be sent to.
