error in table totals for variance

Hi,

I am using a table to calculate growth against budget. The row calculations seems to be correct but i am batteling to get the total correct. I would appreciate help with this.

Attached are screenshots of the problem.

I have tried pivot table but also get wrong values with variance totals?

I would appreciate help with this.

Louw,

Why are you putting the total mode to sum of all rows? That tells me the expression total doesn't match the sum of the rows for some reason which is generally not a good thing to have happen and that's why the total variance doesn't work because it has to based on expression total since it is a percentage.

Hi Karl,

Thank you for your reply. I am hiding certain fields in my table that i used in calculations that got me totally confused. By just reading your reply i am back on track and took off all the total sum check box and put in on use expression and it is working now.
