find table by field name?

Hi,

I have more than one hundred columns in a qlikview application and I want to find the table or tables that has a specific field, what is the easier way to check this? One way is to select each table in table box and check the available columns to see if the column/field exists there but we can not do vice versa (select a field to check what are the relevant tables). Can someone please tell me an easier way to find a table by a field name?

Hi!

Take a look on this Generic Data Profiler, I believe that it can help you.

It will bring all the tables and fields from your qvw and there you can search in your fields for an especific one and so on.

Hope it's help.

You can create a system table (new sheet object->System Table), and select the field to show which tables it occurs in,

Create a table box that has the system fields $field and $table.

Tick the Show System Fields option to select the fields
