give default name to excel-export

Hello,

is it possible when you export a table to excel to give it a decent name (for exaple: sales report) instead of the default:

CH34_123456_789465 directly out of qlikview? so that you don't always have to save the file and rename it afterwards?

thanx!

chris

You can change the name of the table so it looks nicer when exporting. When you export it carries the name of the Object ID which QlikView will assign a default to. You can change this in Object Properties > General > Object ID.

If you're looking to autogenerate reports to a folder somewhere you can either look at the PDF generator add on to QlikView Publisher, or look at exporting via Macro (search the forums, plenty of code examples) which allows you to specify a Save File name.
