how data compression technique in qlikview

Qlikview uses an associate in memory technology to allow to users analyze and process data very quickly,"unique entries are stored once in memory.Everything else are points to parent data".

Please follow the below steps:

Go to Settings>Document Properties>General Tab> Save Format Compression to Medium, High and None

By this way you can compression the document.

Hi Kumar,

In general, Qlikview consumes more memory while reloading and while opening the Qlikview file. This can be rectified by saving the file with lower compression.

Please follow the below steps:

Go to Settings>Document Properties>General Tab> Save Format Compression to Medium, High and None

By this way you can compression the document.

Qlikview Compress data and store in its own format and can't be read by any-other applications other than qlikview.

It compresses and stores in file as well as memory.

Go to Settings>Document Properties>General Tab> Save Format Compression to Medium, High and None

Note: Compression may cause to increase load time but it saves space.

If space is not a issue for you, then better you don't compression and then you will see faster load.
