Hello anyone,
can someone tell me how to calling qlikview access point using URL besides IP address for client?
at the moment i'm always using : http://ip address/qlikview
but i have a plan to use e.g http://qlikviewsvr/qlikview
i'm trying to calling using computer name but it didn't worked
thanks
Is the client on the same subnet as the server? If so, it should automatically work, assuming your DNS servers are working normally. Otherwise, you would need to set up DNS to translate IP/FQDN to short names. across different subnets (using lookup zones and other things that are definitely out of scope on a QlikView forum).

Vlad
Hi
You need to replace qlikviewsvr with machine name of QlikView server.
If that doesn't work then try by binding IP address to host Nqme in .host file.
