how to add line object into report editor?

I tried many times to drag line object into report, but this is not getting  into the report.

Anyone help me to solve this problem

in report editor,

Add element

New text

fromat your text as a line

Hi Saranya,

You can simply click on Item > New Text and then add _________________ as text with a 100% transparancy. This will give you what you need.

Use a text box and use images for line and arrows.

Then use this in your Report

Now I could add line into report, but I want to show the line as vertical line.......

You can drag this line in a bmp image and then add the image to the report or you can use |'s instead of _'s and then drag the text box so that all pipes falls underneath each other.

But I think importing an image with the vertical line will be a better and cleaner option.

You can import the image by going to Item > New Image.

Why must we be forced to do this? Why can't Qlik make objects such as lines and arrows available to report editor??
