Rename the file in Windows Explorer to remove the .txt bit at the end.

FYI: We don't.

As Clever Anjos already stated in another related discussion today, use a real and equally free text editor like Notepad++. It is compatible with notepad but has a lot more features and almost no limitations, unlike notepad. In addition to that, you can add QlikView syntax coloring to the editor which helps mightily in detecting typing errors.

Download Notepad++ from: Notepad++ Home

Download Syntax highlighting files and instructions from: QlikView Addict: QlikView Notepad++

Best,

Peter
