how to enable expressions conditionally?

hi

i am using Qlikview 11 and have created a chart with 6 expressions. i want to be able to enable some expressions conditionally. how can i do that?

for each expression there is a Enable and condition check box. i don't understand how to use the condition checkbox.

When you select that option, the box below it becomes available in which you have to set an expression that decides if the expression is enabled or not. You put an expression in there that evaluates to either True or False, making the expression visible or not.

If you like to use buttons to make certain expressions visible, you make the button change a variable and in the condition you check if a variable has a certain value.

Please see dashboard tab in attached,expressions are conditional enabled.

select one metric - select Qty and see the graph changes
