i want to know top 3 salaries .i have one table year,sales field.

if you are using a straight table you can go to dimensions limits and select the three biggest ones

if you are using pivot able you have to use a rank or a calculated dimension

year as dimension on dimension tab

sum(sales) as expression on expression tab

Show only as Largest with values as 3 on Dimension limits tab
