line chart data issue is not displaying dat and popup msg

Hi all,

I m not getting the popu in the line chart

dimension as dept

expression1 as ='Student Count:'& chr(13) & count(Rollid)

it's not displaying the line in graph

That's because your expression returns text and not a number.

If you want a custom popup method:

• Use a combo chart
• create the expression for the line as a number (eg count(Rollid)
• create a second expression with the popup text, turn off the bar/line/symbol options and check the "text as pop-up" option
• on the chart properties | presentation, disable the (default) "pop-up labels"

i creared as per the methods its not showing only the line not the popup msg

Hi what version of qwlikview are you using? There was an issue in version 11 sr6 or sr7 I think in which if you unchecked the popup labels box on the presentation tab this disabled all pop-ups including custom ones. I believe this bug was fixed in sr10. Not sure but could this be your issue?

If you are using Version 11.2 SR 9 or lover then it was a bug.

Given in release note.

[Text as Pop-up] in [Chart Properties] -> [Expressions] doesn't pop up custom message since QV11.2 SR7

As far as I know this bug was fixed in sr10. Can you share a sample app to highlight the issue.
