We are using QV 8.5 and I have couple different tabs in my report. for example existing sales and new product tab. I have designed macros to set few variable values and displaying only tab repspectes values. Lets say when I click sales tab, values that belong to sales only should show up and not New Product and vice versa(no changes in New Prod tab). To overcome this I have assigned few templates, for different tabs.
On clicking tab for sales : select template A and nothing else, on clicking tab for new prod : template B and so on..
Now the problem is as soon as I select sales tab, the application tab takes 5-7 minutes to load and delay is the same upon switching to other tabs. I can see the message ' Macro running....' at the left corner of the screen.
Is there an alternative for selecting only respective template for respective tab without using macro? We are using QV 8.5 so no actions yet.
Could you get around using macros by using a different set to variables for existing sales and new products? Or if that question is showing or hiding the certain objects, you can use the show - conditional option in the objects that is controled by a variable that you toggle with a simple macro.
