md5 hash, or something similar

Hi

Can anyone suggest a simple method to create a hash key field in a load script without using a QlikView hash function?  I need to create a key that is constant, which will not change if the load order changes or data is inserted, so I can't use autonumber().  The keys generated are going to be stored in a SQL database, so I can't use hash128(), as the quotes and commas make querying the field tricky.

Something that turns a string of text fields into a numeric key, or something like an md5 hash key would be ideal.

I'm probably missing something simple...
