multi-color list box

I have 2 things in a list box, i want to show A in red, B in green. I tried calculated field in font, but it changes the whole thing to red when i select on A and whole to green when I select B. Is there a way to get them show different color at all times, regardless of my selection like a lengend using a list box.

Only if you're willing to create an extension like the one described here. And then only in Webview and the ajax client.

I don't need to override the color of selection (green, grey and white), just the text color in a list box.
