newbie needs mapping help

hello,

new to Qlik View (on a trial). we want to create maps and heat maps based on zip codes and city names. Is this possible without using the google or map quest api's?

tableau and power bi can do it just with zip codes / state names / city names

is this something that is easier in view sense?

are there any docs / tutorials for this?

thanks in advance

Hi Brennen,

The built-in map in QlikView and Qlik Sense does not support that, but you can do it with the extension IdevioMaps.

IdevioMaps features on-the fly geocoding for countries, counties, places, zip codes, etc for many countries.

Here's an online example that shows drill down from country->state->zip3->zip5 where indexing of all areas are done by state or zip code: http://market.qlik.com/ideviomaps-for-qlik-sense.html

The example is for Sense but the same functionality exist in our product for QlikView.

Thanks,

Patric Nordström, Idevio
