oracle connexion pb

I need to set up a connection to an orcale database. Bellow the steps I followed :

I only have the logon/password. the connexion doesn't work. any idea?

You need to specify which database you want to connect to as well. Ask your local friendly database administrator for help if necessary.

I know the database name/login/pass. but are my steps correct? the server name is the dabase name or what?

Yes, the Server input field is where you enter the name of the database.
