pop up based on variable not working - potential bug?

hi i have created this function many times without a problem

however i have an application now that just wont allow me to use a button to activate a textbox (as a popup). it should then disappear when clicking on the butt

i have trippelchecked my logic, however am now thinking it may be a bug.

advice would be kindly appreciated i have attached the file.

I can only guess that you pressed "Ctrl-Shift-S" at some point, maybe without noticing it, and that caused all hidden objects to be always displayed.

So, press "Ctrl-Shift-S" again and watch your button working like a champ!

Adding to Oleg's comment: notice that in Document Properties, tab Security, everything is checked, including "Show All Sheets and Objects".  "Ctrl-Shift-S" toggles this checkbox.

Edit: in general, it is a good idea to keep as few boxes checked here as reasonable.
