qlik window off screen --can't see

This happens a lot more often since I've been docking and undocking from my 2 monitors that are used in addition to my laptop screen: when I try to do something in my QlikView application that is running on my laptop it just makes a "ding" at me as if there is another Qlik window open that I need to close in order to access the window that I am trying to access but that other window is nowhere to be found. Even if I try to exit the window it "ding"s at me.  I have to end task.  Has any body else have this problem and figured out how to avoid?

Yes and if you connected the external monitors, you would probably see an open window  that needed to be closed.

There are several ways to solve this, these two methods seems to work in old and new Windows versions:

  1. The easiest way to get back a hidden window is to just right-click on the Taskbar and select "Cascade windows” and you will see all the opened windows on your desktop.
  2. If the first option does not work then in the keyboard press at the same time the keys "ALT" and "SPACE" then press the "M" key and use the keyboard arrows to move the window (move it to the left or the right) until you are able to see the script window.
