Hello,
I have a text file, where i have some data. The problem is that when i import that data into qlikview, qlikview is not picking the first row as a header row. instead i am getting @1, @2,@3 etc. Do i have to do something special to the text file so that the first row becomes a header row?
Same is the issue with excel file too. instead of the first row as a header row, the qlikview is picking it as a data row, and instead...i am getting A,B,C as column headers

Hi,
When ever you import any file you will get a wizard that shows you the field name and the data from that file.
In the same wizard you will see the option like labels. in this option select Embedded labels.
If you want to skip few first lins from the txt file you can give the no of line you want to skip at "Header Size" option in the wizard.

Hi Kaushik, hope you can help me out with this too... I'm trying to import an excel spreadsheet with the wizard, but the "Use header columns" appears disabled. I tried saving the file as previous XLS versions but it still doesn't work.
Hope you can give me some tips abou this situation. Sorry for the very basic question but I'm new to the tool.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I have the same problem. Does anybody know how to deal with it?
Thank you!
