qlikview personal edition problem

hi there,

I have a problem.

I am moving my qv files to my other computer.

But as you know it does not open.

How can I fix this?

Buying licence etc.... anything.

I am in danger of losing my all works.....

Help .

Hi,

yes you need to buy license.

You would be able to open/recover it on other system and such system changes is allowed for four times. Read this her carefully and take a call if you wish to buy license: Personal Edition FAQs

it say "recovery" how can I do it?

ı do not see any option as recovery in qv file

Hi,

Try to  Copy QlikTech folder in your users AppData\Roaming\ folder over from your old pc to your new pc.

Are you getting a message window like below (while trying to open the qvw file in another system):

?

If so, check the 'Yes..' option below and press 'Continue'. However, I insist you to read the link carefully and understand what you are trying to do before you actually do it.

can you write in detail ? where is that folder???

ı am getting no message,

I am just seeing that it tries to open the document but it fails,waits for minutes and than windows error... not open...

hi,

root folder like below (user name will be u r system logged user name)

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming

or other way to find -->

press windows key + R  then will get run command window here u can search like below

%appdata%


p.s: remember to take backup and then replace u r old PC QlikTech folder into new pc.
