"é" character is converted to "é" when used in a variable from a file in qlikview

I have an application and when the input value contains special character like "é" is converted to "é" when used in a file in qlikview. However if I use it directly in the editor, the character is not getting converted. I have attached the sample application and the qvs file for reference. I don't want this conversion to happen. Could someone please assist in resolving this issue?

Thank you Marco.

Upon using "Encode in UTF-8-BOM" from Notepad++ Encoding menu, I was able to handle this special character.
