"Failed to Load" error in QlikView 11 SR1 64 bit

Hi All,

We are migrating QV9 SR6 to QlikView 11 SR1 (64 bit). We are successfull with most of the application but some having issue where we are not able to open the QVW file in QlikView 11 desktop version. we have full licence. Application opens fine in QV9 without any issues. We have already tried below options( as suggested by forum fellows):

1. Opening the application from "recently opened docs" with reduced data - we could not do this because we could not open the application even for the 1st time.

2. We also could not open using run command.

3. We also created a dummy application with same name. But when we try to open original application (same name), same error appears.

4. Also tried setting SetScriptRescue=1 but no help.

Please share your views/possible solutions. Thanks much in advance.

Anyone having any ideas/suggestions? We are facing this issue in few applications only. Rest we are able to open and migrate successfully from 9 to 11.

Colin-Albert

Have you tried opening the file with a more recent version of QlikView?

v11 SR1 is an old release, the current release is v11.2 SR8

No Albert. We only have v11 SR1 in our systems. Is this a bug in v11 SR1? ANy workaround?

Colin-Albert

Not sure if it is a bug, but I would download a more recent version and test that.

There have been many fixes released since v11 SR1.

Do you guys think that re-creating .QVW is the only option (if not upgarding to SR2) ?

Hi,

Please check security settings of the document by opening qvw in 9 version and compare the settings with another document which is successfully opened in version11.

Could be some security settings

Chinna

Thanks for suggestion Chinna. I alrady have checked security and other settings but all looking same. I can not find any difference. Any other suggestion? This issue is now causing lot of trouble.

Why not try the current release 11.2 sr8 rather than another old version sr2?
