qvd Refresh indicator

hi all,

I have 7 qvd's that refresh daily by a batch script then when finished, a batch script that runs all the qvw's

the problem is when one of the qvd's fail to reload (due connection problems or other) and the data stays as before,

then the qvw script runs and load unrefreshed data from qvd's ...

looking for an indicator in qvd/qvw script or through server setting that will alert when qvd load failed.

any ideas ??

Just an idea, What if you add a reload time in your qvd's script that shows up in your final qvw. You can then create a flag where if reload date is today's date than 1 (or most recent) else 0 (or data did not refresh).

Funny. You're talking about a "server" which is quite capable of notifying you about failed reloads (and subsequently blocks the reload of any dependent QVWs, leaving you with consistent documents from the previous succesful reload), but you're still doing all your reloads using batch files (that don't have such a capability). Any particular reason for this?

Hi Peter thank you for your answer,

could you share some points or resources for your example to enhance QVS in daily operations ?
