A QlikView SUB procedure is a repeatable section of the script. A good example would be a calendar SUB procedure that is called in the script for every date in the tables.

A SQL Stored Procedure in simple terms is a stored script that can be executed by the database server. They are often used for returning complex datasets, but are also used for SQL system programming updating, inserting, deleting records.

BTW unless your data source already has established SQL stored procedures I would recommend avoiding creating new ones for the sake of getting data into QlikView. Just write normal SQL.
