recover a document by removing the section access !!

Hello

I got a qlikview document in which I was trying the idea of access restriction

I added an inline section access load in which I put in the Access field the value 1 and of course a user name and a password

I reloaded the document and qlikview is asking for a user id; however it is not recognizing the username that I supplied!!!

is there a way to recover the document and remove the section access?!!!

Please help

I don't think so.

I assume this advise will come to late for you but "ALWAYS backup before you start to work with section access"

But what is wrong?

I didn't forget the password or username!

QlikView simply is not accepting the supplied user id

the Document is valuable !!

I can't answer that question without reading your script.

Can you still access the script some how?

Ali_hijazi, Access Column in Session access table should always have either ADMIN or USER.qlikview never takes 1 as Access.

This has caused you the problem. As far as i know, I dont see any way to open your application.

I hope not. It wouldn't be much of a security if there was.

But maybe you can turn to the support department of Qliktech.

As far as I know, not even QlikTech would be able to open it...

Another thing I always do (in addition to backing up - not instead of) is to keep the document I have just reloaded with Section Access open in QlikView and save it.  I then open a new instance of QlikView and try and open the document into the new instance - keeping the orignal open.

If that works then happy days, however if you are locked out and can not open the document in the new instance the document is still open in the first instance.  Section Access can then be tweaked and another reload can be done and the process repeated.  You can not lock yourself out of a document without closing it first.
