hi team,
we have one application,in that we implemented section access with custom users. (added 2 users:user1 and user2),
now my problem is we want to open same application with windows user(NT user) to do some changes.
Regards
Can you elaborate your question what exactly your required ?
Vikas
So You mean to say that You have applied 2 dummy users and same time you also want to make this app available to windows users.
I am not sure you can do this or not. I think this is not possible. If you use NTNAME, It will try to verify each users and Who all are not having Windows user access will not be able to access because for widows users we don't specify password in section access but for dummy users we specify user and password both.
Not able to open application due to section access, how to open that application.
Hi,
If I opened it for you without any data, can you able to reload it? By loosing all the data there is a way to open the app.

Can you not open the qvw with the credentials of one of the users you created?
Andy
PS - may be a bit late to say this but you should always create a backup copy of a qvw before implementing SCETION ACCESS
Andy
Its not possible to use both for custom users and windows users simultaneously at the same time with a single web server.
it can be done if you do the following:
•Second Web server should be added in Qlikview Server
•This web server will be located in different machine ( like Test Server)
•In the server setting of Second web server
add the path of login page and this link will be provided to user for authentication
say: http://ipaddress/Qlikview/login.html.
•The user will be created in Qlikview Server and the same is stored in form of XML file in the server machine. The login page will use the XML file for authentication
•User Name created in server needs to be added in Application file for user to view the application.

When we were learning section access, this was our first mistake. what we had to do was open an older version (without the section access) and reapplied the rights + all the developer IDs included in the section access rights - lesson was there should always be an ADMIN access. hope that helps
Team, thanks for your feedback and valuable time.
