see multiple version of field values

Hi

I am new to qlikview and developing the dashboard. One of the requirement of the customer is that they want see or compare the multiple version of some field values.

Can you pleas advice how to implement in this qlikview.

Hi,

you can use alternate states.

Check for the example in the dashboard "Whats New in QlikView11.qvw" in your system .

C:\Program Files\QlikView\Examples\Documents (if you have installed qlikview in your system).

A standard list box will expose all the unique values within any field in your data set.

You can also add expressions to the list box to see a numerical breakdown of any measure in your data set for comparative purposes. At some point it makes sense to use a chart instead.

A screenshot example of what you are trying to achieve would be helpful.

I am loading the data from Excel. user has access to Excel and user can open the excel file and change the value wherever cell value they want.

those time I want to capture the previous values and store in qlivkview.

Please advice how to implement this in qlikview

Hi Ramu,

I hope users will not updating the same row but will be entering the changed data in one more row.

In that case, you'll be having the previous data as well.

But make sure you have one more column(new) to have distinct values.

In this way, you can have the previous values as well.
