i want a function that shows top values..as in top 5 or 10

for charts u can use dimension limits , for expressions u can use rank function.

Check enclosed file for TOP 5.. Use 3 instead of 5.

In case you using QV 11 use dimension limits.

as said earlier RANK will also solve your query.
