unable to get property "getAttribute" java script

hi

i am getting this error when trying for the first time to use extensions and it is happenig when using the option:

"Turn off/on web view" in QlikView Desktop, right click on "new sheet object".

Do you how to solve this and make the extension work? I have seen ex. in the community but no solution

on the qlikview server i have internet explorer 10, would that be the reason?

Are you using a self-made extension object? this usually happens due to a coding error.

i actually copy the code from a qlikview book and it should work, i know ie 10 is not supported and was asking myself if this is the reason
