I am Trying to open my remote server which I have access to to it through my local Qlikview desktop to view .qvd files and load it into local Qlikview desktop but I am unable to open the tab "Open in Server" from local Desktop .
I have named Cal and have access to remote server as well.
can I need any other access to open like this through my local desktop.
Hi Hareesh, is the qvp address correct?
Andy
I would suggest so as it connected to the server ok?
Ha Ha don't be fooled by that one, you get that even with a made up server name 🙂
ha! Never knew that
Useful feature eh!
*facepalm*
Thankfully I very rarely have the need for open in server
Hi,
@adam davies I have activated port as suggested but still unable to connect.
@Andrew I need to connect fis0*** remote server from the my local desktop(I have access to that remote server). please suggest what Is syntax or way to connect to it..
if any of the .qvw 's you need to open then 2 ways are there
so you are using license leasing from server
so first of all ask your QV admin whether he/she activated the license leasing in your server(QMC)
if they already given that option
then check your proxy settings why because license leasing will work with in the same network.
here there is no importance for Named Cals (It is beneficial if you are opening the applications in Browser only)
As per the error message you mentioned your proxy issue only so please check it properly and try one more time with the help of QV Admin.
if you got the solution please close the thread with "Correct Answer".
Try the following URL format
qvp://YourDomain\YourUserID@ServerIP/Sample.qvw
