update ETL files from dashboard - Qlik Community

I have my Extract and Transform ETL files and then my dashboard file updating at 6 am each morning.

The dashboard is viewed through accesspoint.

I have been asked if I can place a button to run an update of the Extract then Transform then Dashboard files or run the QMC task.

Is this possible and any pointers.

I need the update to run in the background and not be visible to the end user.

any help greatly appreciated.

An alternative method is to make this user a Document Administrator and let the user reload the whole document chain using the readily available QMC tools. Transparant to the end-user, in that the end-user remains unaware of what is happening in the background and you can choose how the new version of the document is presented to any on-line end-users.

As per my knowledge in QMC we will schedule the jobs first

Extract qvw files to create Extract Qvd's

Next application This will start if transform files are success full.

i mean application/Dashboard .qvw will start trigger action on completion of transform file.

so no need to create a buttons in UI phase.

please correct me if i miss understood your query
