use license document

Hi guys,

     I'm trying to setup license document, so I've done this step:

STEP 1 - QVMC -> System -> Setup -> Directory Service Connectors -> Custom Directory -> Users

and I've created a new user.

Cattura.PNG

STEP2 - QVMC -> Documents -> Sales Compass.qvw -> Document CALs

Number of CALs allocated to this Document: 1

and I've assegnate testdoc to the document Sales Compass.qvw

Now when I open the accesspoint with testdoc credencial  I can see all documents and not only Sales Compass.qvw.

Why this happened?

Are you running your server in DMS mode? Custom Directories only work in combination with DMS security.

No, in this case I'm using an qvs license that let me use only NTFS

Then either upgrade your license (so that you can use Custom Users everywhere) or refrain from using Custom directories and use DSP types AD, Local Directory or Windows NT only.

But I need only setup a document cal, how can I do this?

Assign your Document CAL to for example an AD user, just like you did with a Customer User.

Dear Andrea,

   Using NTFS, you must to define for each document, the correct permissions. Don´t do a mistake regarding authentication (Windows, Custom, Ticket, whatever), authorization (NTFS and DMS) and license acess (named, document, session, usage)
