variable applied to search on express

Dear all,

I have a straight table with this structure

Salesrep    |      Sum(SalesAmt)   

A               |     10000

B               |     20000

C               |     30000

D               |    15000

I checked Searchable On presentation tab for Sum(SalesAmt)

when I click on the search button and key in  >10000<30000
the record of B, D will be shown,

now, i want to replace this by input box,

anyone knows how to do it? (I want to make sure the table will calculate only when the variable is input, since the table is large)
