Alternate way

Hi

I m Using macros in my dash board, but for some reason i don't want this macro,can i know the alternate way of not using the macro and want to do the same work in another way.

let me say in an example.

There is student record attendance..

rollnum  present absent

1             y

2                        y

3              y

4              y

5              y

6                         y

I written 3 macros

1) written macro to retrieve the entire database of the all the students.

2) written macro to retrieve only the student was present.

3) written macro to retrieve only the student was absent.

These work has to be done without macro in another way.

all these retrieval data will be in excel file.
