Block certain selections when they wouldn't make sense?

Hi,

I have a diagram showing both statical and dynamical data rgd. our staff (the view can be switched via a button).

In a multibox, the user can make selections on several fields.

- The thing is, the statical data (nr. of emps, percentage male/female) can be displayed per area

<=> Dynamic data (starters, leavers) can not because currently the processing of the data in the script would filter out that info if any
       specific area were selected.

=> Can I somehow set the multibox to display certain fields for selection only when a variable (governed by the button) has one value and not the other?`

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

DataNibbler

Sure you can (see attached).

Hi Nicole,

thanks a lot! That's pretty much what I'm looking for - only in my instance, the selection_fields would be dependent on a variable that's actually governing the chart (a binary variable, being 1 or -1 - that makes it easier for buttons)

Can I upgrade that a little so that

- there are two fields for selection when the variable has the value, say, 1

- there is only one (out of those two) field for selection when it has the other value (-1)

Best regards,

Hi Nicole,

thanks a lot!

You use two separate multiboxes in your example? Good idea.
