Break an axis

Hi!

How do I break an axis so that one or two very large values don't drown out the rest of my chart?

This without::

  • using a logarithmic scale.
  • plotting large values on a secondary axis.

I would be very thankful for help with this matter since I cannot find a solution.

Well, you can simulate the break by combining two charts to make them look like one. I think it works pretty well. See attached and below.

Hello Christer,

Go to the chart properties, Axes, and set the scale you want. Expression values out of scale shouldn't appear, although its dimensions will.

Hope this helps.

Thank you guys.

This helped, although it is sad that the function does not exist in QV.

I agree that this would be a nice feature. If you have access to the customer portal, you could suggest this as a future enhancement.
