Button with Macro

Dear user,

I would like to link a button with an url, web link. To achieve it, I need to enter a VB code but it failed when I try to do it. Have you ever met this kind of situation in your experience? Thank you for your kind support.

Sub

SELECTION_SITE_WEB (www.qlik.com)

end

Hi!

You don't need to use macro to open a URL. Just go to Action, Add Action >> External >> Open URL. Then enter the URL.

See the attached screenshot.

Thank you for your reply,

Your method is clear but I do not have the same elements when I get a Button. I have to work with the following options Launch/ Export or Shortcut or Macro.

Here is my screenshot!

Hi,

I am using the 8.5 version, I guess that functionalities are diffrent from one to an other version.

I cannot see your screen shot, but on the General tab of the Button properties you will see a Function box. Check Launch/Export. Then under the launch tab enter the URL into the first box beside the application checkbox. I think this is 8.5, but I never used that version.
