What if it is an expression?

Once you select the above suggested method, it will automatically applied to Expression Total also.

Just try it and let us know if you found any problem.

Is there a way to change the format of a dimension? I have numeric values that I want rounded to a whole number.

how do you want to round them?  The use of ceil() and floor() along with the num functions will take care of that for you

Yes,,,

Use calculated Dimensions

NUM(YourDimension,'#,##0')

Two ways of doing that

1) go to Document Preferences / Numbers Tab and select/format your dimension

2) Change your dimension into a formatted calculated dimension, eg:  num(yourvalue,"###0.00")

"Show partial Sum" always derives the expression total which is not equal to the sum of rows or columns except if your expression = sum( [fieldName] ) !

We can obviously use =SecondaryDimensionality() to get the same...
