Cannot open file : Invalid Signature

Hi All,

I am experiencing a unique issue.

I have scheduled a task to reload my binary app 2 times in a day as follows:

Task 1 - 11 AM

Task 2 - 4 PM

Task 1 runs perfectly everyday.

When Task 2 runs at 4 PM ... it exactly fails after 7 seconds with below mentioned error  in the :

Error: "Cannot open file '\\IP Address\D$\Production\DataSources\Qvds\Model Qvds\QVDName.qvd' Invalid Signature"


But if I re-run the same task through QMC or qlik desktop for the 2nd time ... it works perfectly fine.

All the permissions are given properly and the folder and qvds are accessible.

Maybe a different process has access on this file/folder at the same time and is therefore blocking the access through QlikView. You could try to move your start-times a bit maybe 1 - 5 minutes before or after your now scheduled start-times.

If it doesn't help you will probably need to look into the document-log of the qvw, the windows event- and security-logs and the logs from your security-application to find a hint on the process which locked the qvd.
