Chart Dimension Axis

I have an occupancy % chart that compares data from the current year to the prior year.  The chart has both lines pretty condensed.  Is there a way to dynamically change the steps on the y-axis to show the difference between current year and prior year more clearly?

I've already unchecked forced 0 but the chart always seems to default to a 5% between the high scale and low scale.  I can't set a specific scale min and max because the numbers might fall outside of that scale.

Picture of the current chart attached for clarify.  Ideally, I'd like the axis to change to 93% and 94% in this example to open it up and get more space between CY and PY.  And then when I select a different filter to change the report, the scale will jump to another set (91% and 92% for example).

I would take another look at the Scale options.  You can use expressions instead of static numbers.  Calculate the minimum value for the 2  years, the maximum of value for the 2 years and then determine the number of steps that you need.

For these kind of scales , I think Bar charts are better to display side by side with a color per measure.

Or Jerry's suggestion is a better option.

Use bar chart. There are 13 types of charts in qlikview. Use of chart depends upon your requirement. Please go through 'Data Visualization' sample application which comes along Qlikview.
