Combination of stacked bar char and filled line chart

Hi everyone,

I am wondering if it is possible to have a stacked bar chart in combination with a 'filled' line chart, like the grey one in the background of the attached MS Excel example.

I have been trying to do this in QlikView, but the closed I can get is a thicker line.  Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance.

Put two charts on top of each other. It can't be done in one chart afaik.

Hi,

Putting charts on top of each other would prevent the end user from selecting either from the bar chart or the line chart (whichever is on top of the other one).

Hi Gysbert,

Thanks for your reply, but putting charts on top of each other prevents the user from selecting either from the bar chart or the line chart (whichever is on top of the other one).

It is also difficult to have both charts change in a good way when you limit the selection of the dimension, because the charts are not linked.

Yes, that's true. So you can:

  • make sure the user can select in another way.
  • (pay somebody to) create a custom extension to create this type of chart in Qlikview.
  • use a combi chart with a line instead of an area.
  • use two separate charts
