Converting timestamps to user time zone

Hi

I've been searching the community for hours and I don't seem to find the answer..

How can I display to the users the time fields in their time zone?

In the Regedit the timezone information is under local machine and not current user so that's doesn't seem to work...

I'm using Sense but I guess it's the same for QV and Sense.

HI,

I would add additional fields for all expected timezone and provide a cycle group over all time zone fields as dimension.

By this user can switch the required time zone. Or it could be a drop down selection for timezone selection.

The only way I have managed to do this is by manually creating a lookup table of AD User vs. their time zone.

It would be great if there was a way of getting the time zone of the client machine but I have never found a way of doing this.  I'd love to hear if anybody knows how to do this.

As far as I know, there is no standard way to achieve this in QV / QS (i.e. some supported QV function).

But you may create an extension that supports this, maybe using one of the approaches for timezone detection discussed e.g. here:
