Current Selections in Chart Title

I am new to Design in QV...i have a chart that currently includes the department and date i am looking at.  However, when i select 2 or more departments my title doesn't show ANY departments.  How can i have all my currently selected departments included in my chart title?

Did you put:

= Department

on your title?

This kind of expression can only have results if only one value is selected.

To have more than one result you can use concat().

The syntax is: concat ( expression , [separator] )

For example:

= concat ( distinct Department, ', ' )

This will put the Department names separeted by ', '

Hope it helps,

Erich

Me again...my Production Manager has 9 departments under his

supervision...I can now get @ 6 department into the title but I had to

enlarge my graph...I can also have the title of the chart as a label

inside the chart...can I make either present on 2 or 3 lines? So I can

keep my chart the same width?

Thanks for the help with the Departmental Names!!! It worked great, now

I am trying to do the same thing with the dates selected.

When I used concat in the following expression:

= ( left(text( GraphData.GMonthName),3) )

(dependent upon where I place it) I either get the first month selected

repeated (ie: FebFebFebFeb...) or I get nothing.

Obviously I am doing something wrong, help...

Try:

=concat ( distinct  left(text( GraphData.GMonthName),3) )
