Custom URL for Document Report

Hi All,

When we click on any document report and try to download the PDF Report, we get a huge link like -

http://<serverName>/QvAjaxZfc/QvsViewClient.aspx?public=only&size=long&host=QVS%44<machine name>&nam...

Can we create the custom URL for same, where we will be having -

-     USERNAME of QlikView

-     Encrypted password for QlikView

-     custom name for PDF Report

-     Application Name

-     Report ID

without going inside the QlikView Report, whether it is possible.

Please Assist.

Thanks & Regards,

MK

With the default Report option its not possible ..one alternate solution is to use Macro code and but a button in the dashboard so that it will generate the PDF name according to your requirement

or you could try with the NPrinting  tool

That can be one of the option of NPrinting.

But, we want the updated latest data to come all the time inside QlikView.

In Nprinting, we can schedule the report generation, but it will fetch the data from QlikView only.

Regarding Macro, it will not work on IE client.

I tried to write VB script for same, but the security should also be maintained.

Please assist.

Thanks & Regards,

Yes, NPrinting will provide you more options and it have advantage and dis advantages ..

*You can schedule the NPrinting report according to your requirement so that you will get the latest data

* You can try with the On demand extension (NP 16) so you can generate the report as and wehn required

*Better naming convention

* Mail to multiple recipients

* you can generate various type of report with more dynamic feature(in compare with the report feature in QV)

As per if know macro will work in IE
