We are sporadically getting 'Failed To AddNamedUsers' errors when distributing various dashboards in our automated process. Having narrowed this down, it looks like the DSC is timing out while getting the list of users that it has to distribute to. The query used is written by Qlikview, so we are not able to optimise it, but considering that this is a basic query on a relatively small table, it shouldn't be taking over 30 seconds.
I know the simple solution is to increase the timeout, which we are already doing, but it would be good to try and decrease the time it takes to do these queries so that then our distribution times will decrease. It looks like the DSC is only fetching half a block at a time (around 49 rows), but I cant find any setting where this is set.
Our ODBC Fetch Buffer Size (set in the ODBC Data Source Administrator) is already large - so it looks like it might be set somewhere else. Does anyone know where this setting may be, or can it be set at all?
